Welcome to Ultra Consulting Network Limited

Gunther Richter, the managing director of Ultra Consulting Network Limited, started his career in the Telecommunications arena in 1975. He acquired his hardware and system software experience as a Computer Engineer and Support Specialist in one of the largest mainframe computer companies. After studying Computer Science in Darmstadt/Germany, he started a Unix development for network software at SOFTWARE AG. With his growing knowledge of computer networks he joined the German subsidiary of a Silicon Valley based gigabit network company. At this leading high speed networking company he was responsible for High Performance Computer customers in Central Europe. As the Customer Support Manager he worked closely with the U.S. parent company. After the U.S. Company got acquired by the Computer Network Technology Corporation he later joined the sales force in Germany. During his work in the U.S. he gained substantial IT and management knowledge.

Now in Trinidad and Tobago, here in the Caribbean he continued as an Information Technology Consultant in the fast growing area of Intranet and Internet technologies, mainly within the Unix and Windows NT community.

The logical continuation of his career steps was the foundation of Ultra Consulting Network Limited in 1998. In March 2000 he acquired the Check Point qualification for "Check Point Certified Security Administrator" (CCSA) and "Check Point Certified Security Engineer" (CCSE) and has enhanced the company portfolio with Network Security Solutions.

In addition to the consultancy services, he started a major web development project titled 'TrinidadShopping.com'. A network of over 40 web sites spawning the whole Caribbean, providing online business information about Caribbean based businesses. This ongoing project was launched at the Hilton Trinidad on 25th April 2002 and is currently expanding throughout Trinidad & Tobago and other parts of the Caribbean. Promoting Caribbean products and services to the world. The latest addition to the product and service portfolio is pointHotspot.com, a Internet Access Control (AAA) solution for wireless and wired networks.
